How to Save Photoshop Files into Flat JPG or PNG Images

When you're working with Photoshop documents (*.psd), these are still a single or multiple layers that you will still need to save as JPEG (*.jpg) or PNG (*.png) or GIF (*.gif) files. These file formats are the most commonly used ones. The ones uploaded on facebook are usually JPEG or PNG files. The moving and animated ones are usually GIF files.

To save Photoshop files into any of these formats, see the figures below.


Step 1. Click on File from Photoshop's top menu and hit Save As... as shown below.


Step 2. Once the Save As dialog box opens, type a name on the filename field and select the file type from the format dropdown menu as shown below.


Step 3. Save it in the preferred location on your computer. You may now view your saved JPEG or PNG or GIF, or whatever file type you've saved your document into. This file could either be uploaded on Facebook, used as a profile picture on Twitter, or used as an avatar on Yahoo! Messenger and Skype. Take your pick!
